There’s so much to taste and smell with culinary celebrations across the state. Featuring beers from Belgium and Belgian-inspired local brews, the Belgian Beer Festival, Nov. 14 in downtown Cambridge, is sure to delight brewheads. Celebrate oysters at a benefit for Phillips Wharf Environmental Center on Nov. 7. Oyster Jam serves up oysters several ways, with educational exhibits, live music & more.

Hear the Cheers for Bay Traditions
Communities come together to celebrate Chesapeake Bay traditions this month. Visit historic Chestertown for Sultana Projects’ Downrigging Weekend, the mid-Atlantic's largest annual gathering of tall ships, schooners and historic wooden boats, Oct. 29-Nov. 1. The 18th annual Eastport vs. Annapolis Tug of War is Nov. 7 over Spa Creek Bridge. After the tugs are over and the winning side is declared, the party begins.

See Spectacular Holiday Displays
Bright lights begin to twinkle this month, signaling the start of the holiday season. Board Ocean City’s Winterfest of Lights tram to ride a mile through 58 acres of lights and fairy tale themed exhibits, Nov. 19-Jan. 3. The Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Festival of Trees, Nov. 27-29 in Timonium, is a three-day extravaganza of fairyland forests, gingerbread towns and toy train gardens with nightly entertainment for the whole family.
