RRIMA Report Vol. 1: August 2016
SUMMARY
Welcome to the first RRIMA Report!
The RRIMA team’s aim with this report is to give you a sampling, in a simple format, of the kinds of information we can pull from the internal datasets currently available to us.
We are presenting this information using a reporting tool called Jupyter Notebook, a web application that allows us to present data visually. It is flexible and easily adjusted. We will be using Jupyter Notebooks for the first few RRIMA Reports as the team works to collaborate on a more structured RRIMA data visualization tool, leveraging the additional resources of the Tola analytics platform, which will be geared towards providing non-programmers the ability to create their own dashboards.
For this report, we want to set the stage and take a look at WHO we are serving throughout this response - by geography, country of origin, sex and age.
Datasets involved include beneficiary demographic information from Izmir (Turkey), Greece and the Balkans - Gaziantep (Turkey) to be included in the next report.
As you dive into this report, please keep in mind that this is a first draft AND that this document is for you! We want you to be an active part of the development and revision of these reports as we move toward a final look and product - both in terms of the information we explore and the way it is presented.
Each report will look at a slightly different aspect of the response, with the goal of filling in the story around who is moving where, how people are moving and what is pushing/pulling them along the routes they choose.
Disclaimer: This information is coming from a variety of datasets and may not be representative of the entire beneficiary count/population our country programs are serving.
