PaP: About the authors

Dawn Bruce a Sydney poet, says she has always gathered ideas and jotted them down. Now widely published throughout Australia and New Zealand in literary magazines, newspapers and anthologies, she enjoys reading her work on radio and at poetry venues in and around Sydney. Dawn has won prizes in poetry comps., the twentieth one being First prize in the Wannabee 2000 Poetry competition.

Barbara Cumbers lives in London. She has had poems in various magazines. This is her first poem on the web.

Karen Doherty - "I am best described as a happy amateur with a deep love of poetry. I have had some success in competitions and am featured in a number of anthologies but my main ambition is to help bring poetry lovers out of the closet. I enjoy performance poetry in particular as a means of breaking down barriers."

Sam Gilbert is currently working on a libretto for a maritime operetta and a novel based on the work of the 16th century conduct book writer Philip Stubbes.

Tim Love - lives in Cambridge, UK. Poems in Stand, Rialto, Verse, etc.

Helen Welsh is a manager at an FE college, and currently completing a Masters thesis. She lives and works in Fife, Scotland and squeezes poems out of the doubtful air that lingers between Tesco and cleaning the loo.
