I have this great idea that desktop OS should have app permission like that in Android smartphones. You can see what the app is trying to use like locations, or accessing contacts and other personal information, therefore improving privacy and security at the same time. It seems that mobile phones are more robust in terms of security than that of desktop counterparts. I hope they would enforce some form of transparency to end users, so we will know what apps are legitimate from malware like ransomware since this is becoming our biggest problem everywhere especially in developed countries.
