------------------------ Jaki Lowenstein ------------------------ Age: 24 Gender: Female Race: Human Appearance: She's 1,71m tall (~5ft 7in), 81kg (~178.5 pounds), has red-haired ears, blue long slightly wavy hair, turquoise eyes, small scar on left cheek, gold sand skin (as detected in "Name That Color" - http://chir.ag/projects/name-that-color/#E6B395), hourglass body shape (thick thighs), fluffy white ball tail, american size G bust, minimally visible large scar on right ankle. Voice and Language: She speaks in a soft mid-range tone of voice, without an accent; when enraged, her voice can get quite loud and sound very aggressive; in singing, she's a mezzo-soprano, not quite hitting the really high notes of some songs but the same happens for the lows. She only speaks and knows the Galactic Standard (English) with a few bits and expressions of other english languages thrown in sometimes. Personality: Friendly and adventurous, always there to help those in need, be it in combat or emotionally. Believes that conflicts can be solved peacefully, but can hold her way in a fight if things get ugly. Although she barely ever shows it, she can get really angry in certain situations to the point of losing rational thinking. Occupation: Mercenary, sniper, bladesmith Character Background: Jaki was born as the only child of Faresia and George Lowenstein on Earth. She was always really adventurous at a tender age of 5, and that regularly got her into more trouble than she could handle, but she always came out unscathed... aside from the times she didn't. When she was 8, she was offered a small bunny by her aunt and told to take good care of it. She did, but she was also fascinated by the little critter... so much so, that she wanted to have ears and a fluffy tail just like one. She kept on going with her life, doing tasks for neighbours and gathering up money, with hopes of having her dreams realized. Still seeking adventure, Jaki joined the Protectorate at 13 years old. While in there, she studied Engineering and Technology. Not the best in class, but she got around... where she excelled, though, was in PhysEd, since little did anyone know, Jaki had strong legs from a lot of exercise. 5 years went by, and she felt accomplished in what she had done within the Protectors. Then Graduation Day came, and... disaster struck, as the Ruin's tentacles emerged from the depths of Earth, destroying all in their path. She was fortunate enough to run away to a ship that was departing for space, but as her family ran towards it, they got caught by the Ruin. She was now alone (but she didn't know it), without much of a purpose in life. As they travelled, the ships would drop off people in planets. Jaki was dropped off at an Apex rebellion camp to live with them. While in the camp, she learned all she could about blacksmithing with a Glitch smith, who also taught her how to fix his circuits up. Spending entire days at the forge, Jaki was almost a born natural, forging countless blades for the Apex to use. Seeing some potential as well in her, the Apex tried training her in sniping. With enough time, she ended up drafted for special takedown missions. During one of their material runs in which she also went, they're warned the camp is under attack by a small amount of Miniknog troops from a facility in the planet, taking their smith down with them. It was at this point that the rebels decided it was time for retaliation. Jaki, along with a group of rebels, were sent on a sabotage mission. In the confusion the Apex caused, she was able to infiltrate the facility undetected. Going through winding paths of low-light corridors, she eventually found their weapons cache, marking it with a location device. The rebels blasted through the wall, grabbing whatever weapons they could carry and ran into the facility, blasting any member of the Miniknog out of their path. At this point, Jaki's adventurous side came up, as she started going through the facility seeing what she could find. She came upon the Miniknog data room and pulled an amount of data drives into a backpack she was given, thinking "This could be useful for them... or not." As she was going back for the exit, she noticed the locker room was in the way, and decided to replace some of her old clothes she was wearing since her Earth days, as they hardly fit her anymore due to her bust. After all was said and done, the rebels were victorious and their morale was boosted - they now had more weapons than they had use for, so they sold a large part of them, dividing the pixels between everyone. The large sum Jaki recieved was enough to buy an old battered ship from a human-settled colony off in another part of the planet - this was enough so she could start her own life, attempting to locate the position of Earth or other people who knew what situation the planet was in. She was 18 at this time, but able to pilot a ship by her own with enough lessons from the Apex. The rebels kept communications up with her, in the hopes her skills could help them. With the missions the rebels sent her way, she was able to do a lot with her newfound riches, including getting her dream of bunny ears and tail realized with specialized legal implant surgery. She also made a plethora of connections with people, was able to arm herself with an advanced mix of technology and weaponry, fought many battles for the safety of people and was able to pay off all the repairs needed for her ship, which is now her home. Skills: She can deliver more powerful kicks from all of her leg training, which can inflict significant injuries (amount of injuries will be determined through dice roll and amount of armor of opponent), as well as run faster if she focuses to do so. Has education with engineering and technology from the Protectorate, having more knowledge in the latter along with blacksmithing and weapon-wielding with the Apex rebels; After some years of tinkering around with her weapons, knows how to match up weaponry with high-tech additions. She has considerable skills with all her weapons, but is more skilled in long-range sniping. Knows how to handle recoil and has enough skill to keep the sight still on a target. Weaknesses: The faster running comes at the cost of stamina, and she can only keep it up for about 5 seconds before exhausting herself. Her out-of-control anger due to insults to what she wears and about her body can also potentially cause her to do things she regularly wouldn't do. Her large bust doesn't allow her to pass through small spaces anyone would normally be able to. Equipment/Arsenal*: Not a fan of wearing armor, Jaki instead bears a shielding device (Borderlands style, basic shield) which can take a few hits before breaking, leaving her wide open to anything. Starts recovering after 5 seconds of not being hit, recovering at a rate of 36 shield units per second until full after 20 seconds (720 shield). Hits stop recovery. Her clothes are made of adaptable nanofabrics, which can alter shape and color completely, letting her essentially be able to quickly change clothes (limited to clothes that were created by her). Her blade of choice is the Spectrum Slicer, a broadsword with a rainbow blade forged by Jaki. Made of Durasteel, the blade also gained a rainbow coloration due to the crushed Prism Shards used as flux in its creation. There is a bunch of technology along with a battery crammed on the hilt which lets the blade achieve a different form - The Spectrum Cleaver**. In this mode (which only lasts a minute with extensive use, otherwise it lasts 2 minutes), this weapon can cast a medium-sized barrier in front of it, protecting up to 2 people directly behind the user from, at most, rocket explosions. X95-3 Plasma Sidearm, an automatic pistol which shoots plasma bullets. Has a battery as well, allowing it to be used as a taser after changing mode. G2-Erchius, a high-caliber, long range sniper rifle which fires .50cal rounds at high speeds. Can also fire an electrified bolt that pierces light armor (means it doesn't pierce stuff like kevlar and such). * All this can be subject to change if deemed overpowered and/or not fitting. Willing to adapt and change things around. ** My train of thought on how the Spectrum Cleaver works is by using the microscopic channels of light that ended up within the blade to cast a blade of solid light, hence the insane power drain; This can also be revised to be a blade that shifts shape with some sort of servos.
